Upload your resume. Configure your targets. Let the AI scout your next opportunity.
Free at aistudio.google.com/app/apikey — no credit card required. See How To for setup steps.
Gemini 2.5 Flash offers the best balance of speed and quality on the free tier.
Accepts PDF, TXT, DOC, DOCX. The AI will extract your skills, experience, and preferences for smarter scoring.
Visit aistudio.google.com/app/apikey. Sign in with any Google account. Click Create API Key. Copy the key (starts with "AIza"). No credit card required. Free tier includes 1,500 requests/day.
Paste the key into the API Configuration panel above and click Save Config. Your key is stored only in your browser's localStorage — it never leaves your device or gets sent anywhere except directly to Google's API.
In the Candidate Profile panel, upload your resume (PDF, TXT, DOC) or paste text directly. The AI will extract your experience, skills, and preferences — enabling numeric 0–100 scoring with detailed match breakdowns. Without a profile, you get qualitative HOT/WARM/COLD scoring.
Add target companies, skill keywords, preferred locations, and job sources. Set your preferences (Remote Only, Veteran Friendly, etc.). All settings auto-save to your browser.
Click LAUNCH SCOUT. The AI will analyze your profile and configuration, search for matching roles across your selected sources, score each opportunity, and return a ranked briefing. Export results as TXT, HTML, or PDF.
The optional Enable Live Web Search toggle uses Google's Search Grounding feature to pull real-time job listings. The free tier allows ~500 searches/day. If you hit quota limits, disable this option — the AI will still generate high-quality leads from its training knowledge of companies and roles.
Use Export Config to copy your full configuration as JSON, then Import Config on another device to restore it. Your API key is included in the export — store it securely.
Job Scouts AI is a free, open source personal job search tool powered by Google's Gemini AI. It runs entirely in your browser — no servers, no subscriptions, no data collection. Your resume and search configuration stay on your device.
Released under the MIT License.
Your API key and resume are stored only in your browser's localStorage. The only external call made is directly from your browser to Google's Gemini API using your own key. No data is sent to any third-party servers.
Google's free tier may use data to improve products. See Google AI terms.
